Provisional Ballot Facts
A voter who is unable or unwilling to present photo ID on election day or when voting absentee in person may cast a provisional ballot. The provisional ballot can only be counted if the voter goes to the Circuit Court Clerk's Office at 101 N. Main Street in Goshen by 12:00 noon, ten days after the election, and provides a photo ID or completes an affidavit affirming they are exempt.
A voter who offers to vote in a precinct, but their name does not appear in the poll book may receive a provisional ballot.
